As a meticulous crime investigator with an acute eye for detail, I carefully scrutinized the transcript of the interrogation. Thing is, when someone you like and respect tells you you're special/powerful and if you're easily led then chances are you might believe them. In the beginning it's probably all "you're the chosen one etc" then when you've comitted to the cult it's only then you see it's all bs, hook, line and sinker ❤

I'm rewatching this because of Chad's trial and may I just say, if these people truly TRULY believed that the end of times was coming and supernatural spirits were taking over the world and they would meet Jesus face to face soon and had a supernatural mission bestowed upon them…. then why did they care about money SO MUCH? What is money going to do in that situation? If a biblically accurate angel came and knocked on my door my first thought wouldn't be "Oh I need to change my bank account information."

Oh the way they question & answer in Court.. what is a vision & a nightmare ???? As if David should have just said a vision is imagination whilst awake, nightmare is involuntary state while asleep!!! But they went on & on with the question ?? It’s all filler convo to mix it up to confuse David !!

Colby is an incredibly strong individual, just from that call. He demands justice and honestly, but also has the grace to still pray for his mother and her husband to find the light and grace of their faith. I want him to know that people are proud of him.

I'm late to this but thank you for doing these! I hope you'll do this with the Idaho 4 case too! When we finally get a trial… she's so sick. The manipulation of saying "you weren't there. You don't know what actually happened" is disgusting! It doesn't matter what happened, two innocent children were murdered.

These are not strong, independent thinkers and I am certain they have felt anxious and alone in life. They buy into this kind of craziness because it makes them feel special and important for the first time in their life. That is the only explanation I can come up with. It's sociopaths preying on the weak. I will never understand it.
