As an astute and meticulous crime investigator, I carefully scrutinized the transcript for any subtle clues or inconsistencies that could potentially lead to a breakthrough in the case. With my keen eye for detail, I honed in on the suspect’s nervous tone and evasive answers, indicating a possible guilty conscience. The suspect’s alibi seemed flimsy at best, with numerous inconsistencies that raised further suspicion. Additionally, forensic evidence collected at the crime scene pointed to a violent struggle, suggesting a motive of personal vendetta rather than a random act of violence. As I delved deeper into the transcript, piecing together the puzzle of this heinous crime, I remained steadfast in my pursuit of justice for the victim and closure for their grieving loved ones.

I apologize for the sound quality in this video. Something was wrong with my mic. But if you watch at 1.5x it should be MUCH better. I debated not releasing it but feel the story is too important to be told.

  • @nuwon8154

    The audio sounds terrible

  • @nuwon8154

The documentary is the creepiest documentary i have ever seen.

  • @user-yc2fv9bk5k

Not only sued, the officers should have been charged with the deaths.

  • @user-yc2fv9bk5k

Annie are you a Criminologist? You are very good with your episodes.

  • @user-yc2fv9bk5k

Clearly the police screwed up. They should be sued.

  • @AmySmith-nu5nw

The bank manager and teller probably didn't help the situation when they told the cops they didn't believe her. If i had a woman tell me something like that, u bet your a** I'd try to help. People like this make me sick

  • @MeganH713

If the police were outside watching the entire time then why didn’t they see bill crawling to the neighbors house?

  • @carolrohrer325

Haven’t yet listened to the case but want to say I love your look today!

  • @briella3597

I knew them and my mom was a nurse who worked for him he was an amazing person

  • @bethanycrocker7907

I think if the cops had actually done their job those girls would still be alive. Shame on that police department!! I feel horrible for that family. On another note you did an amazing job capturing this case!!!

  • @Gilmorerh331

I was thinking the exact thing about the police comparison to the Uvalde police!!! Just standing there letting everything happen!!

  • @beverlyledbetter4906

This family is not as attractive as stated. Sorry!😬

  • @wishpunk9188

The police are also responsible for this. They drove cars outside betraying her confidence that she had told police. They chose to uvalde this one and got her killed.

  • @amandatrot92

    Police are trash AF.

  • @ritchmulholland7044

The sound on this videos pure trash but the story is compeling. Stick with 8t. Great video annie

  • @envirogirl1

Agree with every single point. Thank you.

  • @kimslygh4758

    💔Heartbreaking💔

  • @jessieshepherd2230

This is a terrible case, but 1:07:16 sounds like The Sims language to me. Anyone else?

  • @Tahtiluv

This one was tough my goodness 😢

  • @ZenaPadilla

I imagine how terrible those cops must feel about dropping the ball. By now they know what they did wrong and how they should have made better decisions. Especially, if they read comments online like the one’s here.

Put your self in their shoes. I would want to kill myself. I’d think I sure do deserve to die. Wouldn’t you?

I am not saying the people commenting here are wrong. There is no way they are wrong. They care so much it hurts this bad.

May God have mercy on us all.

  • @lorettasearcy1471

These are kind of so called Christmas I don't like. All the things they are saying about mental illness is not true. Both of my kids and I suffer from mental illness and have never been told that.

  • @Virgo-zx3ez

As someone with a neurological disorder I really dislike when people say someone “didn’t let their condition stop them” from doing something (or working)…. Nobody “lets” their condition take over and stop them from doing something…. It’s not a matter of willpower… her condition just wasn’t as severe as others.

  • @heatherhudson7154

Laying hands on someone and praying/ speaking in youngest is NOT a exorcism, get your facts straight and don’t speak lies

  • @TonyWilhoit

I had a tough childhood and I raised two beautiful daughters and have been married for 30yrs so a tough childhood isn’t an excuse for anything.

  • @user-ic4re8oh9c

Stephen seems like classic ASPD. He struggles with depression, substance use disorder and even though he can hurt others in the heat of the moment, he will feel guilt afterwards. Josh was a classic psychopath. Together, these two (the psychopath and someone with anti social personality disorder) always bring about the worst types of crimes.

  • @aprillovesgolf7042

I lived 10 minutes from there, 100% believe husband was in on it. Husband married his sister in law shortly after this. Cops were cowards and inept.

  • @josiewales7071

I would not expect, nor would I want to, see so much of the narrator. Just way too much 'Annie'. Maybe it's a social-media, fame-hungry thing, but the main focus of this video was Annie.
Maybe I'll try some more videos for a more balanced opinion.

  • @shasta7152

I so appreciate your dedication and passion.

  • @cicchiamichael

    👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍😌🌹🌹🌹😥

  • @brittaniejones1623

This case STILL bothers me… Those guys were ANIMALS and it’s one of those cases that make me wish that street justice was an option… Those beautiful souls didn’t deserve what happened to them… 😔💔

*Edit: I’m happy that Bill was able to move on with his life. Valerie and the girls are smiling on him and his new son…. 😇

  • @MsRotorwings

I believe Josh went into that house to assault Michaela. Steven didn’t know his true intentions for invading their home. All the other decisions were done to manipulate and control the family and Steven.

In a podcast Steven said he’s not a monster. But he bought the gasoline that was used to kill the girls. He assaulted and killed Jennifer. We KNOW he’s a monster.

I wish Connecticut hadn’t abolished the death penalty.

I’m sure the Petit family Foundation is helping people. Being of service is part of what helps crime victims survive and move forward.

  • @MsRotorwings

I wish that Mrs. Petit (Jennifer) hadn’t left the Bank and not gone back to the house with Hayes. Going back to the house with Hayes cost her…her life. But she is a mother and she was trying to protect her children.

  • @user-hq7rd5hj7j

That poor family, I can’t even begin to imagine what that man went through after finding out his entire family was dead.

  • @carolinepetersen1452

What a convoluted horror story! That poor family suffered so much. Thanks for putting your efforts into making these facts available to us.

  • @richardmendham5278

    Absolutely disgusting!

  • @johnsmitht11

Another case where the killer was sentenced to death, the citizens previously voted to have a death penalty, but the politicians (in this case the CT supreme court) decide that the death penalty should not be handed out. We do not live in a representative republic when nearly everywhere people want the death penalties in cases like this but the government goes against the will of the people.

  • @EasrterRising1fan

Worse case scenario she made the hostage situation up. Best case scenario they save the families life. It is so upsetting. I think Josh was likely the mastermind, but I don't think money was the aim. I think Josh had to have been targeting the younger girl for a while. I think both men had the perfect recipe in their childhood to make them the monsters they became. Josh's parents though may have tried to be good parent had toxic traits that did not help their son.

  • @mellowmoods8393

I cannot imagine what this poor father must be going through, and going through every day when a memory of this terrible day comes to mind. The guilt, shame, and impotence must feel strong on him, even though none of it was his fault.
