My bipolar radar is flashing so much damn. So sad that you don’t get bipolar diagnosis till you turn 18. It seems like her parents gave up by that point when she could have become properly medicated and have got the help she deserved

PHOEBE WAS CRACK HEAD, ALCOHOLIC DONT FEEL BAD FOR LOSER

  • @maribethmorgan7886

This comments are disgusting-for the record, it doesn’t matter how much and how badly a minor throws themself at an adult. It doesn’t matter if it was the child or teenager who pursued the adult. It doesn’t matter how much they may beg, or how mature they may seem. To say that it is the child’s fault for chasing an adult, and the adult is not to blame for giving in to a teenager’s desire is victim blaming, and reveals just how little someone with this opinion understands these types of dynamics. It is the ADULTS responsibility, as a teacher, or a parent, or a coach, or a youth pastor, NOT to respond to those advances. Kids are stupid and hormonal-they’re going to crush on adults, both men and women. As someone who is older, and who is in an environment surrounded by vulnerable and impressionable teens, it is your job not to f the underage fing child-doesn’t matter who pursued who🙄🙄

Phoebe was gorgeous, don't get me wrong, but people's obsession with her was bizarre. First few mentions of her being beautiful was fine but going into detail about how captivating this CHILD was just feels like an excuse for them letting a PEDOPHILE date their daughter who was a student of his. They're trying to deflect responsibility and pretend like she was a siren who lured grown men to be attracted to her. She was a pretty girl who knew it, that's it. The way everyone in her life enabled it, nobody tried to save her from these predatory and unsafe relationships says a lot and I don't want to blame anyone here for what happens, but they failed her in many ways.

  • @karentucker2161

The girl can't sing and someone in my house just told me to turn that crap down or off.

  • @nicolewolfcry7408

Lets call it what it was: VICTIM BLAMING.
Pheobe was beautiful. She was UNCOMFORTABLE with the draw people felt to her beauty. She came into age and realized she had no choice but to make the best of it and adapted.
She was not to blame for the way men felt about her. She didn't 'wave a wand' and take their choice away. Their knowledge of Right and wrong. they use her 'magic' wich i would argue was a curse was the problme.

Listening to this again as a melbournian, you definitely could not buy a mansion for 650,000AUD 😭 that’s probably a regular house in a built up suburban area in the outer suburbs, even the country. Shits wild out here. It’s really horrific

  • @andreaduckett4588

This has sleeping with the enemy vibes

  • @movingarrow

She also favors actress Natalie Raitano!

  • @mikaplaysgames310

I’m just listening to this story thinking about different points in my life that could have turned me in this direction. I feel for Phoebe so much.
Also, my heart is BREAKING listening to the amount of people she reached out to near the end and they all either couldn’t or wouldn’t help her 😭

  • @mikaplaysgames310

As someone who lives in NYC where this would cost millions, when you said one of these insane apartments is only $650k it really shook my soul, especially when you started talking about how expensive that is 😅

  • @jamison1280

Lol. Stephanie I love your videos but think your radar is off with the girl on tik tok…she is funny but pretty sure she's lipsyncing 🙂

  • @aferg023

Can you do an episode on the murder of Dru Sjodin? Please!!!!!

  • @irenestrmnss4496

WHY SHOULD SHE GO BACK AND TIE UP HER LOOSE END ? JUST STUPID, SHE WAS VERY YOUNG AND NOT MARRIED, NOT ENGAGED. SHE COULD JUST CALLED HIM. HAD NO DUTIES TOWARDS HIM. STRANGE ADVICE FROM A GRANDMOTHER, HER VERY YOUNG GRANDAUGHTER WITH A VERY MUCH OLDER JETSET MAN. SEEMS HER PARENTS WERE KIND OF DISTANT , FRIENDPARENTS. LETTING YOUR 16 YEAR BEING WITH A 30 YEAR OLD. WOULD HAVE WENT TO THE TEACHER AND TOLD HIM TO BACK OFF, TAKEN MY DAUGHTER HOME. REPORTED THE TEACHER. PARENTS MUST FACE THEIR DAUGHTERS BOYFRIENDS AND SET THEM STRAIGHT. LIKE THAT CONTROLLING ANT. I WOULD JUST GONE TO HIM AND SAID GET FAR AWAY FROM MY YOUNG DAUGHTER !!!!!! HER FATHERS SHOULD DONE THAT.
BUT SEEMS LIKE THEY JUST LET HER 13 YEAR OLD RAN AROUND IN THE STREET DOING DRUGS.
FYSICHALLY DRAG HER HOME , AGAIN AND AGAIN CAUSE KIDS WANT BOUNDERIES . TO FEEL SAFE.
PARENTS BE PARENTS NOT COOL BUDDIES.

  • @lynylcullen8370

The singer at the end is INCREDIBLE!!

  • @lynylcullen8370

I see what intrigued you too! Can’t wait to see part 2!

  • @kathymccarthy5264

So her doctor thought she was suicidal but just couldn't squeeze her in????

  • @kathymccarthy5264

I don't imagine she was making any more money as a full time receptionist than at the 3 day a week job he got her. It's not like he made her quit some highly profitable endeavor.

i felt when you said “ if our parents split up, we all hope our mothers marry a great guy we can talk to ..” deep stuff 😢

  • @darrylg3861

What parent wouldn't fight to protect their child?. Her parents failed her.

  • @mangojuice8038

Her parents permitting her to be with older men at the age of sixteen is irresponsible careless and illegal, unbelievable.

  • @niaselah3348

She was made into the archetype of the siren to blame her for male's inappropriate and even abusive behaviors
