I found this story sort of sick. All these older kids dealing with this little girl! Jackie moving around all the time trying to find a man to stabilize her. It was a recipe for Mess!! They really needed to keep Shanda away from the older kids!! These teens killed this little girl and I really wished she would have just stayed in her lane with kids her age!!

I worked in the area when this case broke. The community was outraged and sickened by the heinous acts of the perpetrators. The details were unreal, vicious and how Shanda died was intolerable. That area off Indiana is slightly rural. Who lives near you, in walking distance usually becomes your friend because you can’t drive and must rely on walking. Shanda’s mother spoke about the relationship at length. And how the offenders inserted themselves into Shanda’s life via manipulation and cunning. The offender are out now. Many are very upset about this. Shanda deserved better. Rest in Peace Shanda.

  • @FrazJJ

Just one comment -Shanda was born in 1979, not 1976. I have read both little lost angel and cruel sacrifice multiple times, and I remember this well.

  • @norazanger2261

I’ve seen a few documentaries on this case, but yours is the most detailed I’ve ever heard.
Have you done the stories of Diane Downs and Jeffrey MacDonald?

  • @dawngrimes7361

Stephanie I love your detailed videos

  • @amandanash7136

The subtitles on this is freaking me out.

  • @sanaejones7809

How are they out omg 😪 Shanda was so beautiful

  • @albertgerman9892

i don’t understand why Shanda’s mother punished her for “getting into a fight” when in reality it sounds like the other girl just beat Shanda up and Shanda didn’t even fight back? so why is she facing repercussions for being attacked?

  • @endfinity7924

Also, you should know that your subtitles in now way match your words.

  • @endfinity7924

I hope that I'm not being weird, but your eyes with the green glasses and green eyeshadow are captivating. Not a come on or anything.

  • @nicolewhite6030

Honestly I started getting viewers when you mentioned the older sister page and then just and cut her out of everything. I was like wait who is this person

  • @maxxh5331

7:20 She was born in 1979, not 1976.

  • @SilverLoganX

Basically it's drama it's smart of shanda to cut ties with them all she should have just ignored them all together that's what I'm doing rn whenever I run into drama it's sad that a 12 year old girl died because of drama between her friends

  • @MaaikeCoats

It’s still really not accepted here in Indiana 🙁 I catch a lot of shit for being lesbian

  • @songbird2335

I’ve always told my daughter she would never be in trouble at home for defending herself but she better not start it or throw the first punch. I don’t think most people truly realize how hateful teenage girls can really be unless you work at a school.

  • @maryroberta8094

It floors me that kids 12years old are deciding their sexuality. Most of my friends, myself included, didn't get romantically involved until high school. I had a child down the street tell me they were bullied in school because they were pansexual. I had to ask an eleven year old what that was. I didn't know if they were a boy or girl. These kids are way to young to decide their future.

  • @Ghoulikmusik

This and the Junko Furuta case are among the worst true crime cases I’ve researched

  • @ClosetofMysteries

Woah! The captions on this video are all over the place. I think it is some kind of code…

  • @joshsims9642

Too bad none of these people were able to intervene and save her life

  • @joshsims9642

How do you know all of these facts

  • @joshsims9642

You shouldn't have any sympathy for cold blooded murderers just my opinion

  • @emileeleewolfe4192

This is a case that I wish I could un-know. 😞 (Still horrified and haunted 3 years later)

  • @angelathigpen1557

    Thanks for another great story

  • @Just_Peachy8777

Every girl in this story needed to go to jail including the one they were fighting over. Who sleeps with a 12 y.o.? The ones who used knife, tire iron needs life in prison, the other ones needed 25yr at least. This makes me sick

  • @lindseycagley7060

I listen to a great deal of true crime but these kids unaliving each other makes me cry every time. I went through a lot of trauma growing up but somehow the aggression missed me.

  • @ladyfreedomsrawnarratives

Been a subscriber for a bit, but I have been going back for your perspective! ❤

  • @sethessendrop1617

Hard to listen to the apologies for the past here, as if we have somehow progressed toward some state of being that is clearly better than the traditional family. There is no evidence that the world is somehow better when illicit sex, particularly between teenagers and especially homosexual is just accepted as normal and not discouraged in any way. Of course, Stephanie is entitled to share her opinion, but it is baffling how claims that are moral in nature are made with no proof or evidence. X is better than Y…just because, let's throw out thousands of years of moral standards for whatever new experiment comes along, and the new morality appears to be better just because it's new. The world is not a better, safer, or more stable place since Biblical morality has been trashed in favor of not parenting kids and allowing everything under the sun, and I personally am curious as to what metric defines "success" or "right" that somehow makes the current system so clearly superior to what we had as to no longer require elaboration.

  • @michhaynes7272

Seriously, no, there is no excuse for murder, and honestly, our justice system is too lenient on youths who murder or commit violent crimes!!!
Some people are evil, and those people don't just suddenly turn that way when they turn 18!!!!
It frustrates me that it isn't more about the victims, like it should be!
And sob stories don't make it more acceptable! Just my opinion!

  • @birdsong985

God you new generation gets on my nerves. You over saturate about this story that didnt even happen when you where alive for clicks to where I cant find the original doc from years ago.

  • @vtaijeron

The title of this video is misleading. After listening for several minutes I realized that there is no mention of Shanda and an attempt to get us to sympathize with her killers. This is disgusting.

  • @PallidTrash

    To the younger generation:

Please don't blame your mom and dad for pushing you into a relationship. Yes they can't see what happens when they're away . The person could be crazy.

Now that being said.. your parents came from a different time. Back then it's either you work your fingers to the bone or luxury.

Please do what your heart tells you. But please don't be angry with them. They have your best interest in heart.

  • @vettetchell6106

So evil. So mean. Poor little girl lost her life so young and her parents.

  • @muzikgurl10

You’re not pronouncing her name correctly

  • @carlafink7199

How do any of them put their heads down on a pillow at night?? I feel bad if I accidentally kick my cat!!! I guess I need more forgiveness…

  • @Shadow_the_Edgehog

This is something that should be taken seriously no matter what and is not something to joke about but Melinda's last name was literally loveless this is so funny to me for some reason

  • @lovemusic24

It's really sad that all of her murderers are all out of prison.

  • @amitzahmitzvah3779

So far your video sucks. You have given commercials for almost 20 minutes.

  • @ThatsillyChickBeth

I am from Louisville Kentucky. And this happened when I was in Middle School. Was so terrifying. I am so glad you covered this. Although I am late as hell realizing you did do it LOL

  • @kathyjensen6773

She was to young to be dealing with all this it's to sad

  • @mbbeautea6986

Exactly. I know LOTS of people who have had terrible upbringings and abuse but they became Kind & LOVING people to stop the cycle of abuse and in a way “kill or quell” what was done to them. No excuse they should be tried as adults. If you kill a child, you need to get life without parole and or the death penalty. Period

  • @TheSailorDogMom

2 children tried to kill their friend. They get no sympathy from me. None at all. If people dont like it oh fucking well. They can get over it.

  • @6sixtysix

Getting in a fight when you’re the one that didn’t start it, I don’t care, the person that started it is the only one that should get punished.

  • @mannyfresh2deff

Young or old if u kill someone u should be giving the death penalty, because they there young it's ok, and if that were the case adults would be sending there kids or some kid to kill an adult and get away with it ..they gotta go..

  • @CaleighD123

Poor shanda, I don't think she even liked girls like that 🙁 and 12 is so so young. This is all so messed up
