  • @hannah2476

I dont know if i believe melinda has truly changed. Thats a darkness i sont think can ever fully leave.

  • @hannah2476

This is extremely awful. I was praying shanda survived through all of us. She was a fighter. I cant believe these girls are released. This is infuriating.

  • @emileelamica7701

Cruel Sacrifice, a book by Aphrodite Jones which covers Shanda's case, was one of my first looks at true crime and it has always stuck with me. Nothing will ever satisfactorily explain why these girl, just kids themselves, would do something so horrendous. I agree that they should all still be locked up.

  • @kimslygh4758

I am so disgusted. These girls should be locked up Forever! RIP Shanda

  • @lisafisher1558

An eye for an eye . I have a 12 year old and this broke my heart . No they should rot in prison for the rest of their life .

  • @annabelli67

They should NEVER have gotten out of prison- none of them.

  • @marybethalbright9973

Thank you for telling her story, to see her momma, reach out and give her the puppy Angel for her to train, was powerful and made me cry!! God bless her ā¤

  • @Danisuzette

Making my way through your videos. Can you lay off Kentucky? Bardstown, Louisville and a few others…I'M SURROUNDED HERE!! and now sleeping with a weapon… again šŸ˜®

  • @kr3642

I hope the killers see these videos and know how stained they are. Society doesnt forgive you.

  • @angelasummitt7682

Maybe I'm clueless but, One would think that if you had an once of humanity and did not have any idea what was going on. You would try to Inform someone, anyone to help this poor girl. I live in Indiana and I remember this horrible experience when it came out. I don't care if you had prior trauma, it was unexceptional.

  • @tanyaboyce1959

WTF 26 years??!!!??!! SMH what a travesty and absolute failure of our justice system!!
    RIP ShandašŸ™šŸ’™
So so awful…And Why the hell is Melinda doing TV shows and training dogs for the Shanda's mother???!!
after the torture and pain that her daughter went thru?? So sick… her daughter deserved better

  • @cadybug7777

the way she survived all of that is insane

  • @samwatson1663

As someone who had experienced a lot of the trauma they didā€¦I still believe they shouldā€™ve never been released. Forgiveness is important. But also..so is accountability!

  • @chelsoinked

So the way some people think that the trauma they went through was enough and they shouldā€™ve gotten mental health help or whatever is like saying every person whose been through trauma itā€™s okay that you murder people you just need mental health help. No absolutely not. They shouldā€™ve served their whole time. The fact they got out early is bullcrap. Iā€™m so sick of people getting out for good behavior and itā€™s not even really that is the overcrowding but none of itā€™s ok.

  • @lewisdavies7796

That has to be one of the sickest stories Iā€™ve ever heard!! Donā€™t care how young they were there is no excuse for what they done to that poor 12yr old girl.. god bless the mother and r.i.p Shanda and your father so sad Iā€™m actually ratty right now

  • @sagedaugherty8640

They shouldā€™ve never been released. Idgaf about their trauma

  • @Mans_Ruin1313

Middle and High school kids can be terrible!!! My brother and I moved here to Texas with our Mom and Step Dad from Los Angeles California. In California we were well liked, had tons of great friends, made great grades and were all together healthy and happy kids. In Texas, we started 7th (my brother) and 8th (me) grade. We were targeted by every kid, even the ones that got bullied before we were around. They would beat us up, spit on us, tell lies, verbally abuse us, and just overall make our lives hell! Even during summer break! This certain group of girls would hold me down, and take my shoes to then throw them on to a strangers roof. That happened so many times.

My Mom would even yell at them, chase them off and even go talk to their parents. Not one parent ever said anything about them stopping, or ā€œomgā€ā€¦ nope. Theyā€™d laugh, or make excuses for them. Tell my Mom that we should just fight it out. So that would show you why their kids were little assholes.

Now looking back, they were just jealous. The other kids that were bullied prior were just going along so they wouldnā€™t be under attack again. All the chicks that terrorized me were butt ugly and look even worse now! šŸ˜‚

So now that my sons in middle school, I have him the choice to do online schooling, or go to a brick and mortar. He chose to stay home. Itā€™s awesome! We go on vacation all the time, cruises, we go back to California whenever we want. Itā€™s great! So he gets to have more experiences and fun seeing he can bring school with him wherever we go.

He wants to go back to a brick and mortar school in 9th grade.

  • @michawells4558

the mickey mouse watch brought me to tears. she was just a kid

  • @saramarshall2957

You should cover Missy Avila if you haven't already. There is a TV movie from 1992 called A Killer Among Friends that starred Tiffani Thiessen that is based on Missy's murder

  • @swifttss

the scarier thing abt this case is melinda. she literally has a genuine smile on her face in her headshot. what a disgusting cruel girl. and the fact that melinda actually looked sweet and she was beautiful but a gruesome murderer. terrifying.

  • @beanosworld2538

Them smiling in the mug shots is nuts

  • @maryhughes6092

Have you heard about Karreon Franks or have you thought about covering his case? I just read about itšŸ˜¢

  • @the-witch363

I hate when people say they had a bad childhood and thatā€˜s why they did these brutal things. Thatā€˜s a choice, and not because of their childhood. A lot of people had far more trauma and made the choice to never harm anyone because they donā€˜t want to do these brutal things to other people. You can be a good person even with a horrible childhood!

  • @diylife7438

This is difficult to understand & give an opinion on. While on the one hand I believe that Americaā€™s prison system is essentially a revolving door & statistically speaking we have the lowest rates of rehabilitation, some of the worst prison living conditions & the highest recidivism rates when compared to all other countries. Most countries donā€™t even have the death penalty or life in prison as an option yet they have the lowest rates of recidivism. This tells us that if the end goal is to rehabilitate criminals to be law abiding citizens who are productive members of society weā€™re going about it the wrong way.
But when you hear of a case like this. A truly evil, senseless, unimaginably cruel crime committed against a innocent child itā€™s so hard to not want to see the same thing happen to those responsible. Itā€™s hard not to want to see them behind bars until their dying day. If that were my daughter that would be the only thing that would feel like justice. Jacque is the epitome of strength & compassion. I donā€™t think I could do what sheā€™s done. RIP Shanda šŸ™šŸ¼ā¤ļø You deserved so much more!

  • @user-bp9qj6nb3d

the ending pisses me off ill leave it at that

  • @verifiedredbone

Those monsters should have never been released! They are evil

  • @dee-deerichman9181

That dream Coco is very expensive Annie šŸ˜®

  • @briana_patrick

TRAUMA. DOES. NOT. EXCUSE. ACTIONS. PEOPLE NEED TO BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT THEY DO!!! This case was so infuriating and heartbreaking.

  • @Kakashi.Kun.

    50:40 Complete and utter bullshit.

  • @crisdeltoro8568

What the FUCK how can someone who went thru that much pain turn around and cause MORE pain?????

  • @keithray9421

The only thing close to justice in this case would be the full Joan of Arc treatment for Melinda and Lori. This is a disgrace and wonā€™t do anything to discourage something like this from happening again.

  • @jessica-cq6ol

I live in the town this happened in. One of the women works at the same factory as my husband.

  • @liissaanne648

Nope I believe murderers should never get out early on "good behavior" um they are there bc of murder and being involved. I feel really sad for Shanda and her parents especially her fatheršŸ˜¢

  • @ferdinandcastagnera794

All of these ladies should have served their full prison sentences of 60 years for each person who was involved with the murder!!

  • @web-dreams

Everyone should pay for their decisions, good, and bad. Forgiveness, however, brings you so much freedom. Else, you are also in that prison of hatred, locked up with that person, every single day.

  • @Anna-yp9zl

The trauma & the fact that science has now proven that the brain & frontal lobe; doesnā€™t completely form & impulses & everything are still scud until they are of age. Is why they got released early Iā€™m conflicted, I in some ways think they should have did their time. Then in another way I feel they stayed until the justice system felt like they were rehabilitated. And no longer a threat to society. Thatā€™s supposed to be the goal in a sentence.

Because no one you speak to who is 38 now is the same person they were at 14? Not at all the same. So that person did the time itā€™s the new person they have become who is on the streets. So Iā€™m just conflicted when it comes to younger children like 14 & under. But I know if it were my child they killed I would not ever want them out. However, if we want God to forgive us; we have to show grace & mercy; & forgive the other person! But they didnā€™t show Shanda any mercy? So I donā€™t know Iā€™m just conflicted I understand why people feel the way they do on both sides of the situation. The ones who think they should have been locked away forever; & the ones who believe they were rehabilitated & deserved 1 more chance!

  • @tanyajacobs8975
