The Fort Worth mansion murders is one of the most notorious crimes in the city & for the state of Texas. Would love for you to cover it. Thank you

  • @sherylyates7551

Also, was the letter delivered stamped from the post office

  • @sherylyates7551

I was a teenager in the early 70’s … we knew enough to try to stay safe… girls hitchhiking had decreased a lot. We weren’t taking rides from strangers or even acquaintances… if you had your own car you wouldn’t have left it in a parking lot and gone off on foot. Makes NO sense. I had to smile about the “Sweet Honesty” shirt (wasn’t embroidered, it was printed in green on a white shirt… Avon promo for the perfume they sold.

As I believe glen mccurley was a serial killer of Texas mainly in fort worth in the 70's and 80's.. Carla walker was possibly his first maybe second victim as the forth worth trios was his early victims as their abductions and murders could then made glen mccurley a serial killer..

  • @user-lb1en7nj2s

The man who i feel was responsible for the fort worth trios disappearances, was the same man who DNA been linked in 2021 to a DNA that was collected to a crime scene by which the location was in the same state of fort worth Texas in the same year only nine months before the fort worth trios disappearances, this crime occurred at a fort worth Texas bowling alley where 17 year old Carla walker and her boyfriend sat in the car at a parking lot of a bowling alley in forth worth Texas Feb 17,1974.. Carla boyfriend was suddenly attacked by a man and knocked unconscious, when he awaken Carla was gone as the man abducted her from that bowling alley parking lot and took her somewhere and raped her and murdered her by strangling her to death. her body was found two days later on Feb 19, 1974, in a ditch south of fort worth Texas..the man DNA who been linked to the DNA collected from the crime scene of Carla walker was now 80 year old Texas man glen mccurley, who in 2021 since the DNA match, has been arrested and charged and sentenced for the abduction and murder of Carla walker from bowling alley in forth worth Texas Feb 17,1974, by which he was sentenced to life imprisonment as well he died a short time later around the spring or summer of 2021.since mccurley abducted and killed Carla walker in fort worth Texas Feb 17,1974, law enforcement asks the question was Carla walker mccurley only victim, as since his death police continue to investigate glen mccurley as a white serial killer of Texas from the 70's and 80's. And I believe that the abduction and murder of Carla walker and the fort worth trios disappearances are definitely connected, as for one both crimes occurred only nine months apart from each other, and both crimes occurred in the same state of fort worth Texas in the same year both cases all four victims Carla walker,Mary Rachel trlica, Lisa Renee Wilson and Julie Ann Moseley all encountered their kidnappers at parking lots, Carla walker at a bowling alley lot and in the fort worth trios disappearances all three girls encountered their kidnappers at a shopping mall parking lot,and in both cases mysterious letters been send to police in both cases, so I believe without a doubt both the abduction and murder of Carla walker and the mysterious disappearances of the fort worth trios are definitely connected as the man who killed Carla walker glen mccurley abducted and killed the three girls nine months later only this time he abducted three victims In one this time from a fort worth Texas shopping mall parking lot I feel I just broke the case it was glen mccurley..

Yes it was more common back in the 60-70's to be married young. My best friends older sister was married at 16 and is still married today. Heck I was married by 22 with a child. At 17 I dated an older guy in his 20's who owned his own home. Even in the 70's and 80's stories got around. I remember in tge 80's someone was cutting off girls ponytails in the mall parking lots abd people were being sladhed on tge legs by a guy hiding under parked cars. 70's was the strangers pulling up asking kids to get in there cars and o remember one guy doing tgat to us once but we ran to the nearest house snd knocked for help as we knew everyone in our hood back then and all the neighbors had every phone #. Bews got around vis radio, Tv and paper as well as word of mouth. Prank calls were much more a thing back then as phone books were in every house, you could call anyone easily. All you needed was a name and a street. Perhaps the young lady calling was dealing with her own fears over what happened and thats how she chose to cope. Seems crazy today but back then mental health and counseling were less of a thing. Parents didnt encourage kids to speak on emotions. I saw my boyfriend shoot another boy and himself, both died, not once did anyone talk to me about it. No counseling or discussion of feelings. So i could see that girl reaching out in that way.

  • @migalorsdarwin1930

Keep in mind, back then people had no internet, as im sure many of you know, so to make prank calls was some way to have fun back then i guess.

I have only watched the intro yet, and I do not know if Rachel's husband was much older than her. But if he was her age or around that, I do not think it is strange. I am 24, and I got married at 18 to another 18 yo. We went to university together, got BA and MSc degrees from very good unis (top 20 in the world), and now living very happily and nicely, with good and interesting jobs. Marrying a virtuous person you love and getting mutual support does not prevent one from getting an education, it actually facilitates it. I am not sure if I would be able to graduate if not for the emotional support and encouragement from my husband. It also gave a great motivation to not slack, because we are working for the future of our family together, for a better life for each other.

When an 17yo is married to a 35yo at her parents behest, that's another issue, of course, very very dodgy.

Edit: I know see that despite their age difference not being big, that young guy is a very bad choice for a husband, and he definitely seems very suspicious. I agree that it is quite likely he is involved with the disappearance.

  • @HaileyMadison

Rewatching this again because this case drives me nuts. Would love for you and Derrick to cover this on Crime Weekly!

  • @laurakobetich9809

The mall is now known as La Grand Plaza, primarily Hispanic patrons

  • @julieloewy39

What do you have against psychics? They have assisted in many cases!

  • @Lucy-ym8ch

She was forced to write it but wanted people to know it was under duress.
    Ted Bundy?

  • @ElizabethDewey-si6sh

Maybe he didn’t want anyone to know he wasn’t doing anything

  • @theopholistpunuval3594

I've learned more about this story from here than any article I've read. Someone needs to write a book about the missing trio

  • @mjandt7087

Wasn’t there a case where the guy would make his victims write their own letters to family? She might have been forced to write the letter and “Thomas” vs “Tommy” was her clue.
