Hey Stephanie I love your videos and really appreciate all of the time and effort that you put into the cases. Something that you went over in this particular case reminded me of a personal experience. I was not raised with my siblings, we were all adopted out. I went to a family by myself when I was 2 and my youngest brother was 4. My 3 siblings were raised in Pennsylvania and I in Indiana. Through my own research I found my brothers and sister. I wrote my youngest brother a letter and received a letter in return. When I opened the letter, I couldn't believe my eyes. His handwriting was exactly like mine! What were the odds that two people associated only by DNA could have that in common! Genetics are so cool and then sometimes…not so much.

I know speculation is not useful to anyone, but all the facts and evidence seems to point to Tommy, I believe he is definitely involved, the ides they ran away with a 9 year old in tow just before Christmas is so unbelievable and I believe Tommy and Deborah has a part in the letter too….

The term "human trafficking" only became common vernacular in the last decade or so. I heard the term "white slavery" for my entire life in reference to sex slaves/forced prostitution. I'm in Louisiana, so maybe it's a regional thing. 🤷

You commented on why would Prosecutors pursue counterfeiting charges against a dangerous criminal. Often older violent crimes are difficult to prosecute. Cases like counterfeiting may have more concrete evidence and generate federal charges and resources to ensure someone is put away. Remember they got Al Capone on tax evasion.

The pace of writing with pen/paper seems to be better in synch with reasoning. It's so easy to grab a word processor/computer and compose your thoughts at 80wpm… it turns into a disjoined conversation and brainstorming more than a constructed, planned, and optimized thought instead. The extra few seconds it takes to write is all the time your brain needs to tweak all that out for you.

I'm a black woman who went to a mostly all white high school. Spent the tiniest bit of time on. African slave history but I've always known white slavery to mean sex trafficking. But the day when mentioning a color to describe something won't always have race as a factor. If that makes sense.

My thoughts-
Tommy got married fast to Rachel in order to get the transmission business from Raymond.
Tommy just inherited from his parents dying but doesn't know where $150 and the will were that had been in the glove box? That's a lot of money to go missing and not know where it is especially in the 70's.
Raymond was terminally ill and had the transmission shop. Tommy got the business because he married Rachel.
Rachel and Deborah were probably very eager to get out of the parents house because of the abusive & possibly incestuous dad Raymond. That's why Deborah got engaged to Tommy and then became the roomie while Rachel actually married Tommy.
5 suspects:
1. Raymond Cotton Arnold, the abusive father because of possible incest & confirmed abuse.
2. The younger security guard seen by the cop/security guard Bill Hutchins. Or maybe it was two security guards or a guard and a buddy or could it have been both of them – the guard and the cop Bill? Remember 1 or 2 men in a truck with the girls? How many security guards were working that day? Could the cop/security guard Bill Hutchins have been the second man that the older woman said she saw forcing the girls into the truck?
3. Tommys first ex-wife/mom of his son & Tommy for money/transmission business?
4. Tommy & Deborah because of jealousy or money?
5. Raymond & Tommy because of abuse & possible incest by Raymond or jealousy of Tommy or weird dynamics of the two men and Rachel.
Another theory could be this is the 70's. Abortions were very dangerous at the time. Also, bad because of gossip. Maybe Rachel was pregnant either by Raymond or Tommy. She went to get an abortion and died as a result. The other 2 girls were killed because they knew about the abortion and that Rachel died.
Raymond and Tommy seem close since he got the transmission business.
I wonder if it was supposed to be Rachel and Deborah together at the mall that day? Maybe someone thought the 2 sisters were gonna be together and they were gonna abduct them but then when the other two were with Rachel the person still went forward with their plans.

Stephanie, White slavery is the term that was much more common in the early 70s but they didn't have the term human trafficking but i believe that's pretty much what it means.

I don't know if people in the States were very suspicious of strangers in 1974, but in a country I used to live in, people were not so suspicious in the past and there was this dreadful husband & wife couple. The wife used to lure unsuspecting school children for her husband's pleasure, and she apparently used to dress well and talk in a very kindly & believable way. Could it not be something kind of similar in this here case where a female partner was hanging around the parking area on the lookout for a young girl. Maybe she saw the 3 of them but wanted the youngest girl. So maybe she made up a story such as they had all been chosen for a Christmas prize and they should get in her car to go and collect it..!
Personally I think it was definitely an outsider lure with no family involvement. I think the PI guy should be taken with a pinch of salt. The poor brother believes the PI because he wants to believe his sister is alive. I think they were driven far away, probably at gunpoint, and all killed..! Very few long-missing people are still alive anywhere, this is just wishful thinking on the part of their loved ones..!😐

In the Ramsey case I have come to the conclusion in my opinion her brother killed her not sure on prepose or what but the parents know that and instead of losing both kids they played a role and stuck to it for so long watched many videos about her brother and he just plays his part very well the dr phill one u could see cracks in it and I think had they did longer he could have got him to crumble and tell what really happened that night

The fact that you're being akward or weird about using the wording white slavery is beyond stupid and childish. There were WHITE SLAVES as every other race in human history. The fact you're worried about being PC in 2023 instead of being smart enough to understand that when this event happened it was a completely different time and the wording "human trafficking" wasn't even used in mainstream media then. Teens and young ppl got married young and yes even lioe today there are certain "types" generally lower class populations where they get into a relationship and talk about getting married. Young teens still do this. Kids in my children's HS get pregnant and engaged all the time. Why??? Bc their brains aren't fully formed at this age and they do things without thinking them through. My mother said in the 60s they always used the term white slavery & never heard anyone say human trafficking. She also said she has no idea what the phrase meant & never thought of it in any terms, other than the teens used it to scare each other at night on lonely roads.

I don’t understand why the police thought they were runaways, 17, 14 and 9 are not going to runaway together that’s a huge age gap. They could go shopping together for an afternoon but they couldn’t spend any time together without them all having major problems and no 9 year old is leaving 2 days before Christmas and I’m pretty sure a 14 year old with a date wouldn’t go missing voluntarily so why do the police always say it’s a runaway and wait forever to start looking

I’m a little over half way through and I don’t know if I maybe missed it, but why aren’t we talking about the beginning of the letter? Does “I’m going to catch it” just mean “I know I’ll get yelled at when I get back”? Was it a saying back then/something Rachel used to say? (I’m Swedish so I have no idea.) Or is it supposed to be a hint at something? And with the way it’s phrased (“We just had to get away”) my first thought wouldn’t be that they’re on some fun vacation but rather that something had happened. Why Houston of all places? Even if it likely isn’t written by Rachel, was Houston just randomly chosen or was there a connection there? (And as others have said, why the hell hasn’t DNA tests been done, or dusting for fingerprints? Unless that’s the DNA evidence they’re tight lipped about.)
