It blew my mind!! What a the horrific events took place. It's scary disturbing!! Watching the trial, she had her eyes down, but every time they talked about the evidence and pictures, she would look with such an interest that was insane to watch!!😮

I feel so bad for the mother. No one should have to live through this. The most part that broke me, was when the knife she got was just upstairs. 😢. I can’t believe how the not caring the person is for doing such a horrific crime. This world is certainly scary

She admitted it and told in detail how she did but,the one thing that stands out to me is She said she liked it! So no I'm seeing a mental issue here,and she needs to be in prison for life and a day without any chance of parole,not a mental hospital with a chance of ever walking the streets around the public ever again

This makes me so sick and sad for the victim and for his family. God, it was so hard to put my chicken and my dog down when they were both in pain. There is no way that I could even comprehend any of this. So sad, so scary, so…I dunno. Unfathomable.

Hey Emily this is off topic but wanted your take. I see the Rodni family has filed a lawsuit against Ryan Upchurch for defamation. Can you cover this or at least explain if it can go to trial cause some say Tennessee has a 6 months rule to bring to trial and it's been like a year.

If found guilty & also found incompetent, & let’s say sent to a mental facility, why if she becomes better mentally could she not be sent to prison? Why would she EVER be released?

The only scenario where I can see myself taking someone's life is if, God forbid, someone does something to my babies. Even in that scenario I could never come close to doing this to a person. Disturbing doesn't even describe it. And this was her lover? Regardless if she is declared insane there's no way she should be allowed in society ever again.

Hi Emily! You should cover YNW Melly. His case was recently a mistrial but the prosecution is not dropping the case and instead getting a new jury. I used to work with his mom a little over a year ago so everything is a bit shocking for me!

I haven't heard of a decapitation case since that Greyhound bus incident in Canada… 2008 killing of Tim McLean. NGI. Guy got fully discharged in 2017.

Here's the way I see it…
If you murder someone and they find you sitting beside them carrying on like nothing happened and the victim is perfectly fine and all is normal, you might have an NGI.
If you murder someone, dismember the body, try to clean up the crime scene and make a statement to the effect of "I should have taken the head" or whatever it was she said then that is not NGI…

I’ve not heard of this case until a few days ago and all that’s coming to mind is Jodi Arias. The horrific nature of the decedent’s death is mind numbing. I feel for his parents. The accused has no soul 😧

Can public defenders be reprimanded by the judge or lose their license ( not sure of correct terminology, non-lawyer-y person :)) if they do a half-a$$ed job in defending people? For example this chic or that kid , Chandler Henderson .
