During the investigation into Peter Anthony McGuire, a 59-year-old man living in Chino Hills, California, it was revealed that he had a dark and disturbing history. McGuire, who held business licenses as a private investigator and private patrol operator, had a background in law enforcement and surveillance. This background came to light when a young woman managed to escape from his home after being held captive and tortured for over five months. The victim, who sustained significant injuries, detailed the horrific acts of violence she endured at McGuire’s hands.

Neighbors in the quiet cul-de-sac where McGuire resided reported hearing screams and loud banging coming from his home, but despite multiple calls to the police, no action was taken. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department confirmed responding to these calls, but McGuire never answered the door, leading to a missed opportunity to rescue the victim. McGuire’s arrest in Placentia, California, following a standoff with police, shed light on the possibility of additional victims.

Now facing charges including kidnapping, torture, assault, and more, McGuire maintains his innocence. The District Attorney’s office has filed special allegations against him, indicating the severity of his crimes. As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information or potential victims to come forward. It is a chilling reminder of the darkness that can lurk just footsteps away, and the importance of speaking up when something doesn’t seem right. Stay safe, and stay vigilant.

I love Annie but I can't get this out of my head! The girl sloth from zootopia…….someone pointed out that she looks just like her with glasses on so of course I went and looked and that's all I seešŸ˜

Unfortunately police must have probable cause to force entry and even then they have to obtain permission. They absolutely cannot enter without. We created this lack of action due to lawsuits against Police Departments. There are so many false allegation calls that liability plays a role in their choice not to go in. I hate but that is the reality.

  • @kathryncumberland

Okay, so this is America and the cops can't just go barging into people's houses with no warrant. However, they could have surveilled the location and, once they heard the screams themselves, could at that point either get a warrant or search the house right away due to exigent circumstances. A shrug and an idk just doesn't cut it!

  • @susanpugh5265

The cops should have beat the door down after so many calls! I'm praying this young lady gets the help she needs. May god bless you!šŸ˜¢

I grew up in CH and itā€™s not the sleepy town people think it is. I went to high school there and I was assaulted countless times. The sheriffs there do not care. Itā€™s a dangerous place. Rich kids with parents money and no consequences

  • @lolavillegas8920

    Any updates on this case?

  • @nicoleboothe8586

Law enforcement has got to take people seriously. This happens way to often. Not ok.

Hey Annie. Itā€™s been a year. I live just north of Peter Anthony McGuires house in Chino Hills. Iā€™m trying to figure out the street name (which was shown – I even drove by at one point), whether the house has been sold and if heā€™s been convicted yet. If you want a trial buddy happy to meet you there. Best, Lisa

  • @KraccerJakk

I think the officers knew who lived there and was just like ā€˜ya he is an e police officer we will just leave him aloneā€™

  • @summerday2203

There is a movie called Don't Breathe that seems similar somehow to this case

  • @haydendenard2693

It's a hard line to tread the 4th amendment is a tricky thing a judge isn't going to give a search warrant based on hearsay because just an example let's say I had a neighbor I didn't like I could just call and say there's a woman screaming and banging just to get them to barge into their house just out of spite so it's tricky

  • @janearmstrong1966

Pretty scary to me is what kind of repercussions did that woman have when the police did show up at the door. Was she beat for making noise? So sad something has to be changedšŸ˜¢

  • @ellywitmer1584

They should've used a plain car and sat all over the caldasac to see if they hear because those neighbors are atoment about what they're hearing.

  • @tamtamjacobs3442

That crazy they didn't bust in and check but i had a warrant for not paying $100 restitution and they broke my mom's door down 20 cops deep and slammed me on my neck i didn't know i owed it or had the warrant n it was 3 years later and the only time I've ever been in trouble

  • @rockinredhead70

Cops are always saying "see something, say something" but 7 people called them to report a woman inside screaming for HELP. So cops did not seek a warrant to check the home based on exigent circumstances? This did not have to drag on for this poor woman as long as it did! Pathetic!

  • @Ashley-mq2vd

WHY DID THEY WAIT 2 DAYS TO LOOK FOR HIM??? And why werent there charges for the handcuffed prisoner? And HOW TF DIDNT THEY CHECK HIS HOUSE WHEN ALL OF THESE REPORTS HAPPENED?? The more tie crime I watch the more I'm disgusted by law enforcement.

  • @michwenz8413

Nothing about this case in a year. No hearings, nothing? Wth?

  • @NovaCruz40

Were the police ā€œfriendsā€ of his? Is that why they couldnā€™t do anything? šŸ¤ØšŸ¤”
