I was born in Austin in 1966, this case aggravates me , that it hasn't been solved. I was headed south on Burnet rd. when we seen all the fire trucks on our right. We thought it was just another fire. Did anybody read what Mobley wrote about this case? Mobley knew so much, I believe he was the first D.A on the case. He implicated the parents of one of the girls. The parents worked for Child Inc. at the time of the crime. He said the girls had actually met their killer before the crime. They found proof in one of the girls diary.

I just can’t imagine who would do such an evil act and how could they never be caught? It must have been the 2 young men in the yoghurt shop, but why? If it was just robbery why would they execute 4 girls? I hope this get solved and I hope the perpetrators have had a terrible life and got some extreme karma

Omg this is heartbreaking! I can’t imagine what their parents must have felt especially the ones who lost 2 daughters… this is absolutely horrific. Not a lot of cases get to me anymore but this one has made me cry.

As to this crime, the key left in the door along with the 2 chairs that were still down where 2 "people" were sitting. This tells me that the girls left the key in the door because these 2 people were still inside. I have had this happen to me. Being at a restaurant that had closed while I was still in finishing my meal. They leave the key in the door so you don't feel locked in.
Those 2 never left out the front door otherwise I feel the key would have been removed.

ATTN STEPH: You do a nice job telling these tragic stories. However, in this episode, and I’m sure you noticed but you have the old photos and videos displayed in the incorrect format and that’s why they look odd, she has unusually big hips and looks very short when running track and the horses looked really long and short etc. The correct format or aspect ratio is 4:3 for those.

My sister and I aren’t close but listening to the girls being so involved in FFA reminds me of me and my sister, we raised pigs but we were both super involved. I definitely see myself and my sister in these girls

Both of my parents were from Austin and in their teens-early 20s in the 1990s. My mom worked at the Northcross Mall. I remember her taking me there in the 2000s and the escalators literally blowing my mind. Both of my parents went to Lanier high school. She told me so much about this case growing up but hearing all these names just really brought me back. She was also a freshman in 1991 and my father was a senior. I completely agree with you, in all of the shows I had seen on this case growing up I never felt I really got to know these girls. I really appreciate you covering this case.

I'm guessing that the police checked former employees. I don't think someone could have drifted around outside the shop long enough to memorize the daily routine without being noticed (??).

Last week I commented on another video about this case. Youtube removed the comments and threatened me. An assistant attorney general figured out the motive and the money laundering. He was forced to leave the state. Erik Moebius is his name. Research him.

I live in Dallas but this is a well known event even up here, we’re about 4 hours north of Austin. I didn’t live in Texas as a teen, but I worked so many late night jobs at the same age, it’s so scary to think about how this could have happened to anyone, anywhere

Beautifully told, as always. My first job was at a small town pizza place. My younger sister followed me there as soon she got a work permit. I can't imagine losing a single child in a night.
Just thinking of losing two children in one night is devastating.
