VERDICT WATCH: Missing Mom Murder Trial – CT v. Michelle Troconis – Day 31



Day Three of Jury Deliberations

Jennifer Farber Dulos vanished on May 24, 2019. Dulos, a mother of five, was in the midst of a divorce and custody battle with her former husband, Fotis Dulos. Michelle Troconis and Fotis Dulos were in a relationship during the time of Jennifer’s disappearance. Troconis is accused of conspiring with Dulos to murder Jennifer and cover up the killing. Jennifer’s body has never been found and it is assumed that she is dead. Michelle Troconis now faces trial for her alleged role in this brutal crime.

​​FIRST QUESTION: Here’s the wording: Your Honor, can we please receive clarification as to the verbiage of count 3? Specifically, in order to constitute tampering, does the defendant need to have physically altered, destroyed, concealed or removed an item or thing, ie physical contact

SECOND QUESTION: “The second question, Further the information never mentions the term accessory. Or access sole liability. Following the jury instructions. Would lead one to believe having access. So real liability is enough to prove the defendant guilty of tampering with physical evidence. Is that the case or if the section titled Access so Real Liability from page 44 of the jury instructions misleading?”

COURT’S RESPONSE TO ATTORNEYS: So what the court intends to do is read count three again to the jury. Indicate that in count three and encounter by they will see the E Connecticut General Statute reference to 53 8-1 55 a one and 53 a dash 8853 a dash eight A refers to accessorial liability.
