Disguising himself as a jewel thief, Pistone infiltrated the Bonanno family, one of the five powerful Italian-American Mafia families in New York. His deep undercover operation lasted a staggering six years, exposing modalities of the mafia operation. Pistone’s heroics led to the indictment of over 200 mafiosos.
