Highly detailed crime investigator Annie Elise breaks down the tragic case of Janet Aban Roa, a 25-year-old woman brutally murdered in her North Carolina home. The evidence in this case is staggering, as it reveals a tumultuous marriage filled with infidelity, financial struggles, and a husband with a dark past. Raven, Janet’s husband, showed signs of controlling behavior, violent mood swings, and a chilling lack of emotion following Janet’s death. The circumstantial evidence against him is substantial, from inconsistencies in his story to suspicious actions surrounding the crime scene.

As the investigation unfolded, it became clear that Raven had a pattern of behavior, from cheating on Janet with multiple women to controlling and abusive tendencies in his subsequent relationships. Vanessa, Raven’s second wife, bravely came forward with her own experiences of abuse, shedding light on Raven’s dangerous and unpredictable nature.

The trial was a rollercoaster, with the jury deadlocked on a guilty verdict, leading to a mistrial. In a shocking turn of events, Raven opted for an Alfred plea for voluntary manslaughter, avoiding a potential life sentence while maintaining his innocence. The lack of closure for Janet’s family is devastating, as they continue to believe that justice was not truly served in this case.

As the true story behind Janet’s murder remains clouded in uncertainty, one thing is clear: Raven’s behavior and actions paint a grim picture of a man capable of great cruelty. The question lingers: was Janet’s death truly a random act by an intruder, or was Raven’s guilt hidden beneath a facade of innocence? Only time will tell. Stay tuned for more true crime cases, as we delve into the dark and complex world of criminal investigations.

Ridiculous, he got away with murder, the prosecution should of not agreed to his plea

  • @lakynwilds

Just a side note I thought was cool, I’m exactly 3 years older than Janet’s son.

  • @mousemd

I can't afford supplements to help with my health. I can't even afford all the right fruits and vegetables. I did recently learn about some fruits that will help clear the colon and clear another problem that doctors usually perform surgery. That does nothing to clear the problem. What I learned does help with those issues. I do what I can

It seems like so many women overlook the clear red flags they see from a potential life partner and go ahead and marry them only to end up harmed or dead. I'd say, if the man has a nasty or unpredictable temper, DO NOT MARRY HIM. That temper never improves and only gets worse. It seems to be a common theme in domestic violence, and a clear sign of violence and irrational behavior that could escalate to physical violence. Unfortunately HATE seems to be a stronger emotion than LOVE. Besides how can you love a non-relative, like a potential husband who has such a temper and can act like a jerk. You are not in love with that person, you are maybe in lust, or crave being married, or are insecure that you won't find someone. I was stupid and did in fact marry a hot-tempered guy with whom I would constantly argue even before the marriage. His temper remained throughout our marriage, it never ended, and I think I tolerated it for so long because my father too had a nasty unpredictable temper so I thought that was how men were. Thankfully the good Lord gave me a way out of the marriage. Who knows what would have happened if I stayed. He as usual tried to woo me back, but I had learned my lesson and by then did not feel any love for him. I don't think I would ever let love cloud my judgment because I truly believe love is just a passing fancy or emotion that can easily be replaced by frustration or hate as we see so many murders where the spouse is the first one suspected. How sick is that to live in a society where the first one police suspect murdered you is the primary person who is suppose to love you unconditionally and protect you? Well like Yes said "Owner of a lonely heart is much better than the owner of a broken heart (or worse)".

  • @jennyrstanley1

Another case involving morman community. As of 2022 morman community has been only 1.2% of the USA population. What is the problem? Can someone share their knowledge and opinion and enlighten me what is going on there? Thank you in advance.

  • @jeanettehinds4253

He's a narcissistic psychopath, he can't change, even if he wanted to. And I doubt very much if he is done yet. It's up to us, as females to know our worth. Keep our standards high and learn how to be happy on your own. Until you learn to do that, there is always a chance of bucking up with someone like this creep here. People should be in your life because you want them to be and not because you need them to be.

  • @tenabruce3548

So, he’s a thief, a liar 🤥, and a so called Christian, and ended up being an abuser, cheater, and a murderer !!!! He’s definitely bound for hell !!!! RIP Janet!

  • @NZDefinity

I would hope that Janet's son is being raised by his Maternal Grandparents. This might give them some comfort for the murder their son-in-law committed and ruined many lives. What a waste of space this monster takes in the world. KARMA sits patiently. My heart felt condolences to Janet's entire family especially her son who lost his precious mummy ❤

  • @user-im4dg1qp7x

Your channel has far too many adverts it's a pain

  • @sandee-zn9tq

Fruit doesn't fall too far from tree! Makes sense that Raven is a member of $1 TRILLION Mormon Cult of CONARTISTS! – We were born & raised- duped, deceived & fraudulently induced into paying $1 TRILLION Mormon church over $200K!! Beware the Wrath of God- 99 yr old President Russell M Nelson RMN, who is married to a woman younger than his oldest daughter, 25 yrs his jr! & your bff- Q15 Mormon cult conartist leadership! Jesus weeps. GTH!

  • @Lkjhgf921

One question: You said they bought a house but then said their landlord let them pay late rent

  • @malissa_777

So they bought a home & lost it in the same year? Not understanding how that’s possible and then the threat of eviction! Lots of red flags!

  • @marsharay4729

He sounded just like Alex Murdaugh when he killed his wife and son during 911 call. So sad…. Both stories, how can you kill your own family?!

  • @lindajakub624

He is responsible. He is dangerous

  • @ktpauley7
