Investigating the Dark Corners: Unmasking the Fate Of Rebecca Payne In Apartment 23 – A Riveting Primer on True Crime
Delving into the tragic and baffling case of Rebecca Payne, an optimistic Northeastern University student whose life was prematurely snuffed out in her Boston apartment, located on the 23rd floor, in May 2008. This dramatic recount of a true crime story unleashes a bevy of unanswered questions, questionable evidence, and unexpected turns of events which continue to trouble law enforcement authorities and crime investigators even years after.
Ensure you’re emotionally equipped as you journey through a twisted tale of mysterious circumstances, compounded by documented realities associated with alcohol-related or drug-fuelled violence afflicting urban centers. Yet, despite the complexity of this case, that might evoke a feeling of suspense akin to the chilling episodes of a grisly TV crime drama, it invariably serves as an alarming reminder of the harsh realities inflicted upon innocent lives lost in the crosshair of urban violence. Could secure apartment buildings really be the fortress they are perceived to be, against such wanton aggression? If the chilling case of Rebecca Payne in Apartment 23 is anything to go by, the unfathomable answer might completely shatter our erstwhile notions of safety and security.
@Kimbyrleigha
YES! I made a mistake in the video, my dad‘s even from Boston and I accidentally said Northwestern, I meant Northeastern, I apologize I’m editing that portion out of the video. With all of the information I have mistakes happen, although I’m sure my dad will never forgive me lol 😂
@user-me9oz9zl2m
When u gonna get ur next video and I love ur show
@Emmms-kf4rl
I love your videos so much I’m a silent viewer. But I am from upstate NY and it’s pronounced ALL-BANY lol
@MichelleC1986
I think those in jail share their crimes to either release and ease their guilt, or to brag. Perhaps to build themselves up as a manner to not be messed with by other inmates with nothing else to lose.
@n_baileyname2698
They share their stories in jail because they are narcissists who think they are smarter than everyone else, and that there is no way they'd ever be caught.
@adrianneskirvin1041
Where is the link for the crime scene? I can’t find it please and thank you ❤
@rpedregon71

JOB PERFECTLY DONE KIMBYR!!
@chantellucky4565
You did a good job as always! 👍
@Randompotatoes-qs7bm
He probably knew it was the wrong person when he got there but just killed her anyway. It’s so said that anyone could hold a grudge like that. Rip to this poor girl ❤.
@kellyandrewsstroud1796
Wow! To Rebecca to Rebecca we raise our voices to crime and drugs in this encrypted world we live in!! Is 18 years long enough?? No!!!!
@PaulaTheLittleOne
Me watching the ad just to see Kimbyrleigha's adorable furbabies 👀😍💕
@alvineckler6201
🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼😪😪😪
@jacquelynskye295
This one is sadder than sad. Especially the way the funeral was described and how her boyfriend honored her by sharing her beautiful gifts of caring towards others. The victim sounded like a wonderful woman who had so much to offer the world. She gave more than she got back considering what happened to her that fateful early morning when she lost her life. I still have more to listen to yet, I don't know who took her life yet. Such a senseless loss.
@time4me2fly94
BY accident – not ON accident.
@dont_harsh_my_mellow
18 years…wow. That's nothing. Just imagine that a lot of people are sat in prison for POSSESSION of marijuana for lots of years longer. SMH
@masungukafoa1454
PFF 😮
@gigima1976
18 yrs is def not a long enough sentence!
@sambrown3320
I love the way you make the victim your objective!
@tktalk6900
i love your approach to disturbing content, how it's opt-in instead of opt-out
@gbacrila
Exceptional reporting as has become "usual" for you. Thank you:)
@kymmacdonald685
Can you please tell me why the parents had to leave her behind ?
@leslyea1669
This case really touched me… this is how I lost my dad. For no reason, he was mistaken by the murderers.
@kathymartin3527
How are you able to access the crime scene ?
@PatchaChel
All of these stories of the victims are tragedies but for some reason, the senselessness off this one made me cry. RIP Rebecca. What a beautiful young lady who was nothing but goodness. ❤❤❤
@Morticia1313
I love true crime & your channel is fantastic. I love the way you give so many details about the crime & show actual videos. I also love you stage especially the Gothic Halloween one but they're all beautiful. I always watch until the end unless I start it & it's a story I'm very familiar with. I recently discovered you, so I have a lot of catching up to do. I'm also going to check out your other channel. ✌️💜😊
@jenniferbroughton3168
Instead of making a separate video with thorough case details, could you please just provide a time stamp for those who want to miss them?
@LoveTammyx
18 YEARS??? Just 18?? I’m so pissed off right now.
@tammyhathaway8275
How heartbreaking for Rebecca and her parents.
@sandraobenchain8274
I lived on the 2nd floor with a balcony, I forgot my key while doing laundry and climbed up to my balcony easily… I never connected that if someone wanted to break in they could climb it as easy as I did…
How scary that this man climbed to the 3rd floor and nobody heard it at 3 in the morning…. There had to be some scratching noises at minimum…
God bless her soul and her family, my daughter is 15 and all I do is worry about her, some person doing this to Rebeca… it breaks my heart as most of your cases do to me…
@karacummings1101
I don’t comment on videos EVER, but I just had to say something. I watch a lot of true crime (ALOTTT) lol and I can say without any doubt you quickly became my absolute favorite. You are in a category all of your own on your delivery style and your emotions are so obviously raw and real; it all comes so naturally to you like you were literally made for this. Thank you for being you, you are truly amazing and a real rare gem. I’m so happy I found your page 💜💜💜
@thatmombielife
Does nobody read these letters from inmates?! Why does it take an investigation to discover these? Does nobody use command+f?
@nashae6292
18 years. What?!
@jodiebird1551
18 years!!! Should have been the death penalty.
@sarareeves7569
I know its wrong but I felt some empathy for the killer for dying slowly in jail when if he got the incorrect target. He's fucked up but without the privilege of being a psychopath. I.e no empathy.
@okie-kan9240
The maintenance man doesn't need to come through the balcony, he has the key.
@lisamarierosso2713
Rip Rebecca 🙏❤️ another gift to society taken from us makes no sense.
@rebeccagreene3271
Thank you once again for delivering a wonderful story in letting us know who Rebecca was thanks again for the crime scene video! Keep up the good work!
@debrishmawi7512
The way you tell her story…the compassion and emotion you show is unmatched by any other true crimer I watch and I watch A LOT. You did this poor girl and her family justice. It’s a horrific story and heartbreaking but keeping her memory alive is exactly what needs to be done. Well done! ❤️
@jennifertingelof-truecrime5890
This broke my heart, her poor family, boyfriend and friends 💔 😭
Why do life's of beautiful people end to soon way to often? 😭 I would give my life for these persons to live on so they can do good and their loved ones doesn't have to be heartbroken 💜
@joannajamerson35
Her parents are beautiful. How sad this was
@joannajamerson35
Rebecca is just cute
@joannajamerson35
NO MATTER WHAT….CALL THE POLICE!!!!!!!!!
