I think Jeff was already in the process of killing his wife earlier in their marriage. That's how domestic violence works sometimes, if not stopped it ends with murder. Especially right after divorce. Their daughter Ali experienced a lot of his abuse. So it is not weird that she said it was a crime scene. She knew her mother was in danger, she had seen her dad acting crazy enough times.

i feel like conway is suspish… saw and picked up the purse in the yard and thought no big deal and moved the couch cushions on the back porch for whatever reason and thought it was a bloody animal at first. just weird.

Okay I have now finished parts 1&2 of the Barbara Hamburg Story. So if I were a detective sorting things out these would be my conclusions thus far—the ex lacks a MOTIVE–it is meaningless the man is behind in child support or owes anyone in the States money for he knows how to get passorts and live overseas. If he decided the debts were too great he could easily flee. That has infact been his habit or way thruout life. Moreover at the time Barbara was most likely killed the ex was waiting for Barbara at the courthouse. Of course having money laundering connections he might have hired a hitman but hitmen shoot in the head neatly quickly and flee—Barbara was not killed by a hitman……Next we need look at the resentful sister recently thrown out living with Nat—it is deeply distressing she is accusing her NIECE of the crime and yet let's get real she arrives at the girl's school around the time Barbara is being killed and the niece does not say looking just showered with wet hair –so it's unlikely the sister did it. Next the daughter–well she is in the clear she was at school……For Barbara was killed upon arriving home trying to get thru the frontdoor in after dropping Ally off…..Next we consider Madison–wellk I doubt he'd be delving deeply in the case and publicizing all he has learned trying to drum up new interest in the case if he killed mom…….So what does that leave? The table ladies of course…….The motive was RAGE about the those brought in unable to gift and causing any snooping in the pyramid scheme………It could be anyone of the women invloved in the scheme furious Barb made it to dessert when wleathy already but she the villain didn't get all she'd hoped for for her investment………So now having said it was a Gift Tables lady whatr else can we say about her? It was probably one that had been to Barb's house a few times for she could find that pallette and those outdoor cushions or knew quickly how ot access the garage and find the residence—and darg the body around back….If it was one of Barb's pyamid ladies then she has not yet been a desert but was probably and entree just about to make it to the next level when trouble hit—-It is far more likely to be a woman than a man or on'e's spouse for she was too weak to kill with the first weapon and need kill with another –wasn't both a knife and hammer used? She is most likely a stay at home mom for she wasn't working at 9:30 or 10 am when the kill was committed……..She probably doesn't drive any sort of remarkable car for no one remembers one that day–not a BMW or Porsche……She must have been the one that phoned pretending to be a clerk at the courthouse changing times for the hearing or have Barb's cellphone or house number or know Barb well enough to have that info…….And to KNOW when the hearing was supposed to be so not some acquaintance but closer to Barb than that—She can't be tiny or weak for she was able to drag a body quit a distance nor then elderly—-She is not dumb either for she left no footprints in blood and in all the bedlam dropped nothing…….She and her spouse are probably not gun owners given her weapons of choice….She apparently lacks a strong moral compass and self restraint so might be bipolar or have some mental health issues .

This story is giving me flashbacks. In the late 80s, my lawyer ex-husband got involved with international conmen (imo). Long story, but buying and selling letters of credit and promises of ɓeing highly paid in the future, led to disaster. We divorced, I had to declare bankruptcy, my ex was disbarred and returned to his native country. It was just awful. I was lucky to have a job and help from my mother, so my son and I survived. I believe my ex was conned and it wrecked his life, too.
@donna142
Ex-husband did it!!
@StephenAnimations
Just found your channel and i really enjoy your true crime vids. Your analyses of cases/mysteries are spot on. The writing is on point as well.
@vladdyydaddy
I believe the ex-husband is the most obvious but the twist is those gifting tables. Someone in the police department was involved heavily and something to do with convicting the husband will open a can of worms on their involvement in the ponzi scheme. So, to the police force they would rather save face n their but by withholding evidence of murder. Its a common theme here in these united states. The law dont mean sheeee if you got the right friends its how this world is run. At first i thought it was the oil tycoons money or something like that like a foreign hit to some extent but then the fake financial statements are nothing that extravagant to them.This is upper class american greed trying to break into the elite class by any means.

I have to say a few things about the case:
1)I DO NOT think Ali had anything to do with her mother's murder. As someone who was once an addict you truly are a very different person altogether. You will do ANYTHING to get your next fix and it doesn't matter who you hurt in that process. I stole money from my family members. I literally thought about the 500K life insurance that my then husband had on each of us and how I could obtain that money too. I never wanted to harm him in any way so that was out the window. Thankfully I got clean and I had a long talk with my friends and family and they all forgave me.
2) I truly believe that Jeff her ex husband is the one who killed Barbara. He had a lot riding on the court proceedings that morning. I believe that he probably wore something over his clothes so that he would not get any blood on himself. The fact that there is DNA under Barbara's nails would have been the smoking gun for me.
3) Her sisters shadiness stands out as well since she was trying to get Barbara and the family killed but if that was the case why was only Barbara killed and the kids and Jeff remained unscathed.
I hope that Madison can truly get answers and close this case so that he and Ali can finally rest knowing who did this to their mother. I'm sure that if it comes out to be Jeff, that murdered their mother, both of his children are going to be devastated beyond belief. But it will, nonetheless, give them, and everyone who loved Barbara, closure that they all so need and deserve.

I know I’m 2 years late watching this but I only found Stephanie a couple months ago so I’m catching up. I love this channel and I was so glad to see SOMEBODY❤️ following up on this unsolved case. Thank you and I’m so sorry for the Hamburg family’s loss💙
However, I have one general point to share. There is no “gene” for addiction (which includes alcoholism .) It SEEMS to run in families because families unknowingly share and, in fact, pass on habits which include coping mechanisms, like using drugs and alcohol. There ARE indeed biological markers that make a person more likely to be, for example, an introvert, to suffer social anxiety or traits like the tendency to be shy. Substance Use Disorder (or SUD -the now correct and “official” DSM term for addiction and alcoholism )often results in the family members. I have the research and references to back this up but am not sure how to share it. As professionals and activists in the field, we take all opportunities to share this in order to change the narrative. And AA is just ONE (and not often the best) way to treat SUD. It’s best to do the research before deciding on a treatment program. Thank you again. This channel and Crime Weekly are definitely the best and most enjoyable to watch (you-tuber😉)

That’s how I say it anyway. 😊

Same as Allen Rae Greenberg. The police only had "new evidence" when the Unsolved Mysteries series was about to air on her.

I've had m.s. scince I was 23 than over a year ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson's. . So because I have not left him because of financial reasons and I'm in a wheelchair
@jackieweindel3656
The cops could have been lying about the male DNA just to get Madison to give incriminating info. I think it was the daughter and sister. I wonder how many m*rderers are cleared because of bs alibis and cops thiiiiiiiink one thing or another. Not everything fits in a perfect box of behaviors and motives
@michhaynes7272
I don't know why the auntie was bad mouthing Barbara as she was the one taking advantage of this woman who was struggling after her ex husband would not pay what he was ment to.
@bgirl8565
I'm sorry, but I've been addicted to just about every drug besides crack and meth and Its NEVER crossed my mind to want to KILL someone. Maybe rob them. There's no benefit to killing someone lol..
@noneyourbiz8886
I’m not a detective but it seems pretty damn clear who killed her. The ex-husband. Sorry but he had the most motive and was a shady character all the way around. He also had the most to lose if she continued to live. Also the police department is very sus. Like what is their problem? It seems like they don’t want anyone looking into their work because A) they’re protecting someone or B) they are hiding the shoddy work they did on her case. Smh ridiculous
@carliearnold7311
I'm from CT but I forgot people outside of CT say Meriden how it's spelt I was so lost for a moment its pernounced "mare-i-den"

I had to go back and watch part 1
@NDandHBCentral
The male DNA is the smoking gun to me. There’s no reason for it to be there except fighting off someone.
@Cat-un2gm
I just watched a movie about Jennifer Dulos. I would love to see you do a deep dive on this case. Either you alone or with Derek. Love your videos.
@sarahmelissa4253
I suspect it was either Jeff or Conway…or both
