Idk If anyone remembers but the police were horrible to their little boy when questioning him also. So sad he kept telling them how he woke up n found Riley gone. So he let his dad kevin know and they started looking immediately. The police kept telling the boy he was lying insinuating there was an accident n he was lying for his dad. They didn't even stop when that little boy was crying that he wanted his mommy n daddy.. That child had just lost his little sister. Idk If anyone knows it or not but Kevin the dad ended up dying in a car crash a few years after all this happened. Him n his lil girl are together for eternity now. Such a sad story for the whole family right.💙❤️

The sad part of this story is that all but one of the police detectives are still working, and Riley’s dad served a long time in jail. They had him and his wife come into the police station after he worked 14 hours, and they interrogated him for over 14 hours. After that they asked him to do a lie detector test, which they told him he failed. He was exhausted from working the prior day and then up all night at the police station. The detectives never even tried to find another person. Unfortunately, when the police have a theory, they are going to do all that they can to prove their theory, even though they had DNA that did not belong to Riley’s😮 dad. They had nothing on him, other than being in his own home the night Riley was taken. The police actually found the last name of the guy that killed her on a pair of shoes they found in the river. They never even looked at those shoes, until way later. The police had sent the DNA out for testing, but they ended up telling the FBI to send it back before the testing was done. The ultimate tragedy of this case was a couple of years ago Riley’s dad was killed by a drunk driver.

This is why you NEVER speak to the Police without a lawyer present. They try to make you feel guilty but you now see how it turns out. Sure you want to help them find your child. I get that. But cops can be lazy sometimes. Get your lawyer up there FAST!!

That's why people confess tho. When your dealing with certain type of cops … Mainly small town cops. They'll harass u hours on em, taunt u, tease I, call u a liar and repeatedly over and over ask u to admit to whatever is it they want .. and eventually when ur fed up told ur story again and again.. ur ready to cry ur Soo damn tired..u respond " I just wanna go home, we've been over this again and again when can I go home", they tell u ull be staying all night if u dont admit to what we say.. . And just to go home ull be like whatever wrote what u want I just want to go home. They'll make u say something and either way prolly bring u to jail just sooner ALOT sooner when u just give in and say what they want u too. Cuz yr exhausted. I feel that I've been their. . . My hometown is awful.. u ever get arrested and ur car flipped upside down for driving on a permit and the person with the license was sitting in the middle seat instead of the passangers seat so they cuff u and bring u to jail . I have just got my licence and palmer police department still arrested me. Sucks I'll never get that $40 left that I should have never had to pay

I remember the police interrogation when one detective got right into Kevin‘s face and was screaming at him at the top of his lungs. I felt so bad for him, and you can tell that he was just beat down, and his soul was gone after the way he was treated. It’s sickening to know that someone else’s DNA was on Riley and the cops didn’t care about what they put her through. I hope Kevin is doing OK and if I’m correct, I think he sued the police department and won
